WOW! I'm Five Weeks Old

Hello from our house. Mom says that people have been asking for news from our house. It has been awhile since I last wrote, sorry. That's because I've been busy growing, pooping, crying, sleeping, learning to smile, spending time with people, and working on developing my muscles.

I've been growing lots. My mom weighs me every other day and says that I'm gaining weight. She just hopes it is enough. My dad says that she should relax and that I'll gain what I'm supposed to because she is feeding me really well. I think she should know that I'm growing because I'm wearing a new size of clothes and there are a few of those that are getting to small for me too.

I have started to smile at my mom and dad. I get great joy out of seeing their reaction to my silly smile. I throw it out there every once in awhile and my mom just laughs and cheers. I caught my dad by surprise the other day and he too was very excited. It's my secret weapon to get what I want. I would have to say that my parents are pretty easily entertained these days.

I've noticed recently that my mom is starting to make really funny sounds and my dad tells her that often. I thought my dad was going to die of embarassment on Sunday when she starting making funny noises at me while I was getting my picture taken. I thought she was pretty silly too. I almost laughed at her.

The weight lifting that I'm doing is getting easier. I don't think that my head is getting lighter but I feel that my neck is getting thicker and stronger. My dad is in awe of my great leg muscles. I can really push off his hands and get moving. I'm sure there are great places to investigate in this house once I get all my parts going in the right direction and my head high enough to see them.

I'm a pretty lucky kid I hear. I get to see my grandparents often. My Grammie comes to spend time with me once a week for a couple of hours. This lets my mom get a few things done while we play peak-a-boo, paddy cake, and other things. My Grammie is also good at helping me get rid of my hiccups that seem to attack me every day. I have also seen my other grandparents a few times. We hope to see them at Thanksgiving.

This weekend we had a visitor from Seattle. It was my mom's friend Corrie. They had a great time catching up and relaxing. I did my part in fussing most of the day. I'm sure I made a wonderful impression on her.

Well, I had better get going, dad is making a pie and I'm sure I could help some how. We all hope that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
