Happy Halloween

I'm 2 weeks old! It has been a very busy two weeks. Dr. L told mom and dad that I have gained back all the weight I lost the first couple of days and I grew an inch in the last two weeks. I guess all that eating and sleeping have done me good!

During the last couple of weeks I have learned a few things about my parents too. I have learned how to get my dad. I wait just for the right time when my diaper is off and he isn't looking and then I pee. It is so much fun to watch him jump. I can do it over and over again. Dad is starting to put the clean diaper over me now so I'll have to find a new trick to get my dad. He also doesn't like to change my smelly diapers, so those are left to mom. The best trick I can play on my mom is that I shoot milk out my nose. This causes her great panic. The only side effect to it is that it hurts my nose for awhile.

Another trick that I do is, I usually scream when I'm getting my diaper changed. This bothers both my parents, but I think that I have a right to be a little upset. They take me out of my warm clothes and blankets and put me on a chilly mat. Then they unwrap my warm bottom and expose all my parts to the cold air. I'm supposed to be ok with that I guess. To top it all off, they then wipe my warm bottom with a cold, damp cloth and I get the chills. I just don't like the whole process so I let them know it by yelling at them the whole time. You would think they would get it.

I'm beginning tummy time with my mom. I'm working on lifting my head for a short amount of time. My mom says I'm doing good and that my neck looks like it is getting stronger. I believe her. She was really proud of me the other day when I moved my head from side to side without her help.

I hope you all have a great Halloween. My plans are to get a belly full of milk and sleep the night away. (Mom thinks I'm to young for candy so I have to settle for milk.)

Baby Tyson LeMar Wolfkiel is Here!

Hello everyone! I'm the guy my parents and family, and their friends have all been waiting for. I arrived at 6:28 on Friday, October 17th. My mom had wanted me to come a little earlier, like a few days earlier, but I was very happy where I was. When Dr. Lowder, mom's doctor, told my parents that he would help me into the real world on the 17th my dad was hoping that I would be here before kickoff of the Bronco game. (He really was just kidding.)

I arrived only 28 minutes after kick off and watched a little of the game with dad that evening. I was a little slow getting here because I needed some help getting out. I was 21 inches long, had a head circumference of 14 inches, and weighed 7 lbs 14 oz. I guess Dr. Lowder guessed wrong about me being a big baby, I was just perfect according to my mom.

I'm now home with my mom and dad, who I like to keep on their toes with my crying, pooping, and unexpected sqeaks. They are taking good care of me. I've been to see my dr and she says that I'm doing great now too.

I didn't know that when I got home that I would have an instant friend. I have a dog named Sydney who likes to protect me. When I decide to make mom work because I'm hungry, my dog likes to sit at her feet until I am done eating. When I make my dad work with my diapers, Sydney likes to follow us upstairs and sits behind dad watching to make sure he does it right. I think that I'm going to really like my new friend. I can tell she already really likes me.

Well, it's time for me to go bug someone else in the house. I'm sure I'll be back soon to tell you all about how life at our house is working. By the way, my mom and dad are very happy to have me home and mom is doing great, even though I keep her up.

Two Days to D Day

Just a quick update, So I'm still surprised at how fast life is passing us by. I only have two days until our official due date is here. We are both getting a little nervous of this life changing event. You would think that we would be ready. I think that is what the 9 months are for, but no we are not completely ready mentally.

Every day I leave work I am sure to make the room ready for next day as if I wasn't going to be there. This not knowing when he is coming is not a fun part of the process. I usually have a very tight schedule of things and now there is no way of having one.

Last week the Dr. told us that we would probably be late by a week so I have stayed at work this week preserving my leave. Next week if little one has not decided to make an appearance on his own we will induce and he should be here around the 16th. We have an appointment on Thursday of this week to see how things are going. I am feeling great other than needing sleep and being hungry most of the time.

So the next entry should be done by Brad shortly after our little one gets here and we decide on a name. He should post some pictures too.
